Loretta C. Rogers is a fourth generation Floridian. She lives in Citrus County, Florida, with her husband, Wayne. She shares her husband's love of motorcycles. The love of reading was planted in Loretta before she entered school. Even before first grade, she was able to read, and before she could write, she drew story pictures. In her early childhood there was no television in her home. After-dinner entertainment was listening to her father read.

Her dad used to hide his Zane Grey and Louis L'Amore books inside his sock drawer. Heaven forbid, during those times that a child should read the word 'damn' in a book. However, when her father was at work football betting tips today, Loretta would sneak the books, careful not to disturb it's hiding place, and read. She knew if she ever got caught, she'd be in real trouble. As crazy as it may sound, Loretta could actually see the characters and their actions inside her head. "Their voices spoke to me".

A chronic insomniac, Loretta says it's often the characters inside her head who keep her awake. On such nights, she sits at her computer and writes. She says getting the ideas out of her head is easier than tossing and turning all night.

Loretta is an eclectic reader who enjoys anything from a tear-jerk romance to a nail-biting mystery, but admits that historical westerns are her favorite genre and that cowboys will always be her heroes best football tips for today.
 

A member of Tampa Area Romance Authors, Romance Writers of America, and True Writers On-line, Loretta is an award winning poet. She is also a member of Sunshine Poets of Crystal River, Florida, and Florida State Poets Association.

 

A retired teacher, Loretta is the mother of two grown daughters. She is the grandmother of a terrific grandson who enjoys hunting, fishing and farming and a sweet granddaughter who is artistically creative.
