Welcome...

Hi! Welcome to my website. I write for the pure joy of escaping the day-to-day confines of reality. It’s my personal belief that escapism is the reason most of us pick up a book I hope you are like me--a firm believer in happy endings.
Like most of you, I have all sorts of interests, including genealogy, sewing, gardening, and travel. But to get and stay published, I have to also stay focused. You can believe me when I say writing is my passion (so much so that cleaning house is on the bottom of my priority list, and my husband has come to expect canned soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for supper.)
I’m excited about my first novel published by Avalon Books. Here’s an excerpt--enjoy.
THE TWISTED TRAIL
~ Debuting April 2008 ~
A Historical Western
Avalon Books
ISBN 987-0-8034-9891-4
A loner who doesn’t rely on
anyone, Matt Logan wants to maintain his status as a drifter who freelances his
guns. His admiration for Clarissa Hubbard’s determination to be the first to get
her freight wagons through to the gold fields forces him to open up to this
woman’s grit and threatens to take away the most important aspects of his
existence--his self-protecting armor--and the caginess which allows him to
survive.
Clarissa Hubbard hates working on riverboats and in gambling salons as a card shark. She invests all her savings into a freight line. If she and her partner can be the first to get their freight to the gold fields in Dahlonega, Georgia, she’ll be a wealthy woman and never again have to be pawed by drunken cowboys or rich ne’er-do-wells. When her partner is murdered by the competition all hopes are lost, that is until she hires Matt Logan as wagon master to get her freight wagons through. ~ Debuting April 2008 ~

REVIEWS ~ "Isabelle
and the Outlaw had twists and turns and some intricate
surprises. Even the last few
pages were still offering newness and unexpected closure. I highly recommend
this book whether you like historical or contemporary. It's all in there! I give
it 5 out of 5 Hearts!"
